Transcript College Preparatory Distinction Requirements To be recognized with College Preparatory Distinction at graduation, students must successfully complete a minimum of 5.5 credits in Advanced Placement courses and earn a minimum weighted, cumulative GPA of 4.0+ in all classes with no Ds or Fs. Course offerings may vary by campus. When selecting classes, consideration should be given to the students future goals and the specific requirements for universities, the military, NCAA, etc. (For example, although foreign language and Algebra II with Trig are not required for the Alabama High School Diploma, some higher education programs may require these courses for admission to their specific programs. Also, some colleges have specific admission requirements related

to core subjects and may not accept substitute courses approved by the Alabama State Department of Education.) Students and parents must check the requirements of any programs they plan to pursue in the future. Student Government Association FCCLA TSA JROTC Fellowship of Christian Athletes Art Club Honor Society Band Athletics Athletic Eligibility In order to be enrolled in ANY athletic course or to play any sport, students must earn four core credits per year, and have a 2.0 GPA in

the four core classes plus 2 electives. Core classes are math, science, history and English. One class passed = one credit earned. No Schedule Changes after the First Week of School Please communicate wth your freshman and encourage them to choose their classes wisely. Schedule changes affect class size distribution and can negatively affect earning the needed credits in a class. Student schedule changes are only made in extreme situations as the master schedule is built from student requests. Absolutely no schedule changes can be made after first week of school.
